James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor wins ‘Blind Bit of Difference’ Award

The James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor was awarded the ‘Blind Bit of Difference’ Award on Saturday 15 th August 2009. This Award is in recognition of the outstanding level of service that the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor has extended to blind and visually impaired customers.

Andrew Smith, HR Manager (featured far left in photo) and Shaun Johnson (featured far right), Hotel Pianist, was presented with the award by the Association of Blind Citizens of New Zealand Inc.

Shaun Johnson, who is himself blind, has been the Hotel’s resident Pianist for 29 years.
