Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston to operate the prestigious Albert Hall

Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston is pleased to announce it has been appointed as the new operator of the 1891 grand Victorian ‘Albert Hall’ as of the 14th July 2008. The venue seats up to 1260 guests’ theatre-style and 640 guests’ banquet-style, hosting over 100 events per year.

Hotel General Manager Kym Fell says he is delighted to have the Albert Hall included within their convention portfolio, adding a further four venue options to their existing eight convention rooms.

“With a maximum capacity of up to 1900 delegates at the combined venues, located only 100 metres apart, we aim to attract larger events into Northern Tasmania. The region has become more accessible with 89 flights arriving into Launceston per week. The advantage of having one point of contact makes Launceston an attractive all year-round conference destination” says Mr Fell.
