Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) announces Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart as best ‘Meeting Venue with Accommodation’ in Tasmania.

The awards ceremony, held at the Henry Jones Art Hotel last week, recognised excellence in the Tasmanian Meetings and Events industry. The Hotel Grand Chancellor collected the top award for the ‘Meetings Venue with Accommodation’ category. The Hotel will now go on to compete for the national award to be held in Melbourne in April this year.

The award kicks off an already successful year for the Hotel Grand Chancellor with 46 confirmed conferences in 2010 bringing in close to 13,000 delegates to the state.

Other award recipients were the Hotel Grand Chancellor’s in-house supplier of Audio visual services, Scene Change who won the ‘Technical and Creative Productions’ category.
